Mindi did an amazing job telling her story, very courageously describing traumatic events in her life. She manages to talk about incredibly disturbing things that are hard to digest even for the reader, in a very matter-of-fact way, not looking for sympathy.... just describing the events. I am very touched by this book which shows the incredible inner strength of the author. Great example of human resilience! ( Reviewed in Canada on July 4, 2021 )

She is a hero in my eyes, never giving up when she had every chance to.
